Filmmaker Statement

This film is partially based on a life story of a girl who used to be drug addicted, but the imagined portrait reflects not one, but millions of those who found themselves or may find themselves in the same position as the heroine of the film. For those people who were addicted to drugs, but found the strength to recover and forswear injurious habits, returning to normal life may be very hard. Often due to drug addiction people resign, give up their studies, lose their job, friends, and shut off from their relatives. Their new social circle may include only drug addicted people. And after a person himself or with the help of special organizations kicked his drug addiction, he appears to be in lonely and defenseless in the world. Ex-addicts have to re-learn how to work hard to earn honest living, build a social circle and mend broken connections. A person faces serious difficulties and he often has no one to rely on but himself.
