Filmmaker Statement

We worship our phones. It's sad and stupid but we do. Chris and Miles stood in his kitchen talking endlessly about this truth. What if a guy came to see his phone as a god? Or a parent? Well, maybe it's not the phone itself. Maybe it's Siri, or Alexa, the little helper that lives inside the phone. As we wrote this story, we became obsessed with relationships. Our relationship with technology. Our relationships with our loved ones. Our relationships with ourselves. ALUS explores the expectations set upon those we care about most... and it's a bleak take.
