Filmmaker Statement

I believe people want to be inspired. I believe people want entertainment that’s good old-fashioned fun. And most of all, I believe that a filmmaker's strongest tool to effect change is by showing the way that life can be if we work toward a common goal. People need modern role models, they need hope. Bitsy is that hope. On the surface Bitsy Bites Back feels like a light hearted romp, but there’s a host of very important messages hidden in Bitsy’s DNA. Bitsy shows that we are invincible when we work together, and shares lessons about helping others, ageism, diversity, and the value of friendship, all while giving the audience what it really wants: a purely enjoyable experience. Bitsy Bites Back tells the story of savvy senior citizens who turn the tables on a clever con man. The story behind it is about a diverse group of friends whom all believed in Bitsy’s messages enough to do what it took to make this film a reality. Thank you, Richard Mueller
