The genesis of Closing Time was a certain tone and ambience I wanted to capture, and imagining what story could take place in that world. The slow drone of 60s music echoing through an empty retro diner, the blood-red checkered floors and booths, the uncanny feeling that something is off without explanation. All of these were ideas that excited and compelled me to tell this story.
