Filmmaker Statement

After moving up to the Hudson Valley, we really wanted to make a film with our friends on the lake by our house. We wrote a script about being a townie working at the combo hot dog boat rental shop on a hot summer day. And then on our production days, it poured, continuously, for all but 3 hours of our two shoot days. So we pivoted. We changed the film to take place after the summer season, and we embraced the rain. Although we were initially frustrated by the situation, the weather not cooperating created an atmosphere we never could have manufactured on our budget and a vibe that was really special.
