Filmmaker Statement

Based on a real-life party and a number of friends struggling with fertility in Egg Party, we meet these women at a crucial moment when suddenly TIME is of the essence. With inspiration from chiaroscuro paintings, Wes Anderson’s playful pastel palette, and Raymond Carver’s “What We Talk About When We Talk About Love”, I see Egg Party as a whimsical and poignant film on fertility, creativity, and the struggle between what you want, and sometimes what you get, from this one wild and precious life.
