What does it take to be an artist? Is it the right person saying so? The right context? The right check? The right tools? With this project, I was only interested to work with what was available and accessible to me, using the most basic equipment and filmmaking software, limiting the number of sets and people involved, focusing on a part of my life that is very 2D, like auditioning to sell something on Television, and still produce a story worthy of being called cinema. Inspired greatly by Fellini’s “8 1/2”, and the works of the French New Wave, I was determined to find my answers. A nudge in the right direction at least. “Everything You Always Wanted To Know About Me, But Never Found The Time To Ask” is a Zero budget, 6 minutes short film, created and brought to life by friends, proving that what it takes to be an artist is a mystery, but nothing can keep you from trying.
