I met a coach of the Baltimore Banners (the hockey team featured in the film) in 2022. Several weeks later, DP Sam Ott and I were on our way to Baltimore for three days to meet the team and, potentially, film something. Over the course of the three days spent in Baltimore, I was blown away by the wisdom, maturity, and strength the members of the Banners showed. Learning about the various traumas they experienced made their kindness and grace even more incredible. Daryl, a captain of the team, was especially insightful. He agreed to an interview and then showed us around his home town. This turned into the film For Peanut. We hope Daryl's perseverance and fortitude is as inspiring for viewers as it was for us when we made the film.
