Filmmaker Statement

Happy for You is a story that came from my experience working in a corporate environment prior to filmmaking. While in that industry, I saw people who would do whatever it took to get the next promotion and the next salary raise. There was a lot of jealousy boiling up behind the scenes and so many thinly veiled "congratulations!" When I started writing Happy for You, I wanted to encapsulate all of this tension into one 11 minute film and push things over the edge to show the absurdity of it all. I had so much fun making this film and met some incredibly talented people in every area of the production. I hope you enjoy!
