Filmmaker Statement

IDI is an exercise for me in a story told through its music. I wanted to explore a quirky allegorical tale of a woman who is isolated herself with her smart home (technology), and the idea that we think we have control over these systems. I wanted to explore this unhealthy obsession we have with our machines and conveniences, and how one little thing can send your whole life into a spiral. Because we don't seem to realize that we are giving as much control as we are getting.
