I've been called girly pretty much all my life for being an artsy kid. Mockery from my classmates as a kid gave me scars I now wear proudly, and use as inspiration for art. My pen has always been my sword against my enemies, for I don't possess physical strength or great speeds. I was in London with a group of friends on a school field trip. I entered a clothes shop with a friend and as we were sorting out what clothing artifacts we wanted, he chose a pink hoodie. My friend wanted to get it but I advised against the idea. He then suggested I get one too so we can defy standards together. I didn't out of fear of being called girly. This film is also a commentary on toxic masculinity and how we (me included, believe it or not lol), bottle things up only to be unleashed when we least expect it. -- We need to all be more open with our guy friends and not judge them when they fearfully share their insecurities, fears, or troubles with us. -- Make sure your friends are okay.
