What interested me about this project was the duality that exists within these people. Not just the contrast between their two worlds, but the pollination between them—what drives them to continue to make art once they finish their shifts? I wanted to explore that in a way that highlighted them as artists and also showed them in their working environments. It was fun to work with them and develop a vision that showed them as their whole selves. There was a shared sentiment on set that these people and their stories truly deserve a spotlight.
