Filmmaker Statement

Talking Head was written at the end of 2019 and was all ready to shoot in March 2020, then... the pandemic. As a result it was on hold for a very long time until I eventually found the time to revisit it and decided it would be the perfect script to get back into filming. The idea behind this short film was to make something simple and all about the dialogue, I didn't want to do any fancy camera work, deal with tech issues or spend hours resetting the lighting, I wanted to spend the whole time on the comedy itself and an interview was a perfect way to do this. It's silly, awkward and ridiculous, exactly the kind of comedy I want to make.
