Filmmaker Statement

Hello, this is Max Gardner, producer of "The Big Pitch." Originally, the film was put together to fulfill director Robert Enriquez' Senior Thesis requirements at New York Film Academy. When I joined the project, my aim was to elevate it into a calling card for Rob as he left the academic sphere and moved into the industry world. "The Big Pitch" is a film concerned with friendship, hyper-capitalism and what social media has done to our connections with other people. At the heart of "Pitch" is a commentary on the ends we go to in order to become successful, and it exists as a parable about the dangers of greed and how that leads to an impasse in a formative friendship.
