Filmmaker Statement

Anaconda is about the fear of toxic masculinity and the horrors of not fitting the mold of being a typical man. There's no monster more terrifying than the one you can imagine. Although the film is about masculinity, the themes are universal because the movie explores sexuality in the digital age and the anxiety-inducing fears and stigmas that stem from that. The film's core is meant to investigate that emotion and to drive the audience to mirror that feeling through our protagonist's journey.
