Filmmaker Statement

I chose to write and direct “Behind The Scenes: the short film” when I was 16-years old to use the power of storytelling to start a long overdue conversation about the potential harmful impact of social media on mental health and human relationships. By allowing the audience to relate to the characters' inner struggles and feelings around social media, I want people to discover “since when has an image had more value than the real thing?”.
