The inspiration for this film came from the shock I felt when I saw one of my peers die, and the numbness and sadness of his mother sitting on the stairs downstairs. The mother was not packing up his things, but trying to find her son’s memories. We have no way to change the past that we have lost, but what we have lost is not gone, but rather we should cherish the people in reality, the people who need our care more, and living a wonderful life is the greatest respect for the deceased. The protagonist, after being tortured by reality, finally hopes for a serious farewell, a farewell of consciousness, but this farewell is already separated by the sky-blue shore that cannot be crossed. The use of the narrator in the short film is more of a reflective nature of hypothesis, a voice that tells the past, a brief inner monologue. This monologue is between narrative and non-narrative, creating a suitable tone, making the short film full of more retrospective thinking about the mother, this thinking is fragmentary scattered in every corner of the story, this scattering also shows the mother’s chaotic thoughts. The accumulation and superposition of emotions try to increase the rhythm of the mother’s feelings in the story, until it rises to the peak.
