'Drifted away' tells the story of Marcela, a girl who wakes up in an unknown house, being under the care of Angela, who becomes increasingly severe in her treatment. Marcela, without knowing what is happening, insistently searches for her mother, but she only finds a hard and sad truth. "Drifted away'' is inspired by my great-grandmother and my mom. I could see how they were both consumed by a disease that took them further and further from who they once were. It is a story about how memory forms identity, how oblivion erases it, but unconditional love never goes away.
