Filmmaker Statement

'Every Day is Different' is a ten minute short built from conversations with the men and boys in the film. The organization, Beyond Type 1, invited myself and Paradise to create an intimate portrait of what it's like to be a male live with Type 1 – how they’ve faced stigma, hardships, growth, and community. The many conversations had with the collaborators as well as the guys in front of the lens have stuck with me as some of the most meaningful I’ve had during the making of a project. They reenergized the way I approached this kind of work. I’m grateful to have been invited and have made this with everyone in the credits list.
