Filmmaker Statement

I Love You, Guys is my directorial debut, and I couldn't have asked for a dreamier experience. The entire cast and crew are not only some of the most talented people but also the most generous and kindhearted. Our cast all brought vulnerability, curiosity and empathy to their characters. They made them the fully realised people you now get to fall in love with and root for. Although I did not write the script, I see myself reflected in what it represents, growing older, grappling with your imagined dream as it becomes a fractured reality and what that does to you mentally. Cory, the writer, has captured the universal feeling of pushing against your need in the pursuit of your want. Only in hindsight do we realise what we leave behind when we do.
