Filmmaker Statement

I met Rodolfo when I went to get my vintage watch fixed. I’m passionate about finding historical places, and Milan always blesses me with the most authentic old-school shops imaginable. Wearing a 1920s watch, I wanted a true master watchmaker to repair it, so my search began. I vividly remember the day I walked through the courtyard, up to the fourth floor, and waited outside a door identical to all the others in the building. No storefront sign marked his presence. When Rodolfo finally let me in, it felt like entering a sanctum devoted to the art of timekeeping. His workshop brimmed with clocks, watches, and timepieces of every kind. Amid the organized chaos, the overlapping ticking and synchronized chiming of the clocks created an unforgettable sonic tapestry. From that moment, I knew I had to work with him.
