Simone is a story of motherhood. Of resilience. Of choices. It was inspired by my friend Cree who plays the main character, a version of herself. She is a young mother, born and bred in Brooklyn, NY. This film is about what she needs to do to survive and thrive in this city. This film is for her and all the other mothers raising children in New York by themselves.
