Filmmaker Statement

The film is an experimental sci-fi narrative that tells the story of an ecosystem’s monumental efforts to maintain equilibrium. It is experimental in the sense that no characters populate this alien world, the landscape itself is the character(s). My main impetus behind the creation of this film was the cosmic and ecological anxiety I was feeling at the time — the way I found out of this was to imagine a world where, on a large enough scale, and with a large enough effort, balance can be regained. My undying hope is that this is also true for our world.
