In 2015, C. Arthur Pew created his first Wildfolk figurine. Crafted from found materials in nature and clay, he has sold hundreds of these creatures worldwide. The idea for the film came to him one dark and stormy night (as they say) in 2020 just before the world went mad. Shot during the madness of 2020, the film is a combination of live-action puppet sequences and animations. Most of the footage was shot in the Niagara Region of Ontario Canada with additional footage shot in Guarujá, Brazil, and KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. The footage you're watching has endured the madness of 2020, 21, and 22, a flood that destroyed the entire studio and some of C. Arthur Pew's personal belongings, a field fire that was out of control and had to be dealt with before it engulfed his new studio space while in South Africa, and also a robbery that resulted in lost footage, and having to recreate most of the scenes from scratch.
