Throughout the film, we follow the story of a wannabe film director who gets lost in his own arthouse fantasy and finds himself in a battle against the tenets of time-travel itself. But really, let's be honest, who hasn't? As the story unfolds, it becomes clear that the true hero of the film is not the director, but the cleverly placed intertextual references that will make you feel like a real film buff.
